Having been in the spotlight for a long time due to its looks and design, on Tuesday, Nothing finally launched the Nothing Phone 1 in several markets including India. Nothing Phone 1’s first smartphone located in London, comes with a semi-transparent back panel and a unique design. There are LED strips on the back panel, which allows the user to choose a unique lighting pattern for notifications, ringtones, and many more. The phone has a 6.55-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chipset, a 50MP dual rear camera setup, and a 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast charging. Nothing Phone 1 in India has been kept at Rs 32,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 35,999 and the top variant with 12GB RAM + 256GB can be purchased for Rs 38,999. Nothing Phone 1 will be available on Flipkart starting July 21 at 7:00 PM in black and white color options.

Those who pre-ordered it will get the phone at a discounted price of Rs 31,999 (8 GB + 128 GB), Rs 34,999 (8 GB + 256 GB), and Rs 37,999 (12 GB + 256 GB). The company also offers some offers to customers who pre-order. They can take advantage of the instant HDFC discount of Rs 2,000 which is applicable on 3 and 6 months EMI (credit card (EMI and Full Swipe) and debit card (EMI), apart from exchange offers as well as an increase in the number of selected smartphones that they give.

Other offers include a 45W power adapter as well as a Rs 1,000 discount on the Nothing Ear 1 TWS headphones, which can be purchased by pre-order customers for Rs 1,499 and Rs 5,999. The actual price of these devices is Rs 2,499 and Rs 6,999.

The Nothing Phone 1 Dual SIM (Nano) runs on Android 12 and features a 6.55-inch Full HD (1080 x 2400 pixels) OLED display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Corning Gorilla Glass is also available on the back of the smartphone. Other display features include HDR10+ support, a pixel density of 402 ppi, and a brightness of 1,200 nits. The smartphone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chipset paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

For photography, the Nothing Phone 1 gets a dual camera setup with two 50MP sensors. The first 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor is paired with a f/1.88 aperture and comes with OIS as well as EIS image stabilization. The second 50MP sensor is the Samsung JN1 and it’s paired with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 aperture. It comes with EIS image stabilization, 114-degree field of view, and macro mode. The phone offers many features including panorama night mode, portrait mode, scene detection, extreme night mode and expert mode. Built-in sensors include Fingerprint, accelerometer, electronic compass, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor. The Nothing Phone 1 has a 4500mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse charging.

Other features of the Nothing Phone 1 include facial recognition that works with face coverings, an IP53 dust and water resistance rating, dual stereo speakers and three microphones. There is a graphic interface that allows users to customize the lighting effects on the back of the phone for individual contacts and other notifications. Nothing says it will provide 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security patches (every 2 months).
