The RGI report stated that complete information about the medical treatment patients received at the time of death was received from 34 states and union territories. Only partial data can be found from Maharashtra and Sikkim.
High infant mortality in urban areas
Referring to infant mortality, the report said that in 2020, the infant mortality rate recorded in rural areas was only 23.4 percent while in urban areas it was 76.6 percent.
