Akhilesh Yadav Samajwadi party shivpal Singh Yadav Umprakash Rajbar Rashtrapati Election Drupdi Murmo Yashwant Sinha

In the last few days, there has been a crisis situation for the Samajwadi party in the politics of UP. After defeat in council elections and then Azamgarh-Rampur Lok Sabha by-elections, “Apno” started making distances for various reasons. However, in the meantime, some who consider it “beginning” are approaching. While the Subhaspa party led by Om Prakash Rajbhar appears to be preparing to get rid of the SP, Congress appears to support the SP party in times of crisis.

In the presidential election, the Socialist Party and Congress support opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha. So, when Akhilesh Yadav organized a dinner for Yashwant Sinha in Lucknow, Om Prakash Rajbar and Shivpal Yadav were not invited. But Congress leader and MLA Aradhana Mishra Mona attended the event.

When the SPD opposition leader’s status in the legislature was revoked, the SP objected to this. The Congress supported the Socialist Party in this campaign, describing it as an arbitrary decision by the government. Former MLC Congressman Deepak Singh called it against the rules.

Indeed, after the 2017 elections, the paths of the Socialist-Congress separated, but the kind of tension between the two did not come as much as the SP-BSP relationship. Not surprisingly, Congress and the Socialist Party are getting close to each other ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The reason for this is that there is no such case that the policy differs on this.

The Socialist Party refrains from attacking Congress directly. The opposition’s unity is now disintegrating but the Congress’ soft stance towards the Socialist Party could lead to new political equations. The anti-BJP parties may meet in a new alliance after the presidential election.
