Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday targeted the central government due to high inflation in the country. Priyanka Gandhi claimed that not a single policy of the BJP government was established with the aim of increasing the income of the middle class and the poor. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra further said that the situation has become such that people may have to borrow to cover their daily expenses.
“There is no single economic policy of the BJP government that can increase the income of the middle class and the poor class and reduce their expenditure,” Priyanka Gandhi said in a Hindi-language tweet. “The middle class and the poor are afraid to have to borrow to make ends meet,” he said.
Prior to Priyanka Gandhi, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi attacked the central government. Rahul Gandhi quipped that the graph of petrol prices, unemployment and communal violence in India is similar to that of Sri Lanka. Rahul Gandhi shared an infographic on his Twitter account. India on one side and Sri Lanka on the other.
In his tweet, Rahul Gandhi mentioned petrol prices, unemployment and communal violence. The former congress president accuses the government of distracting people by raising other issues to hide the issues of failures, inflation and unemployment.
