Gasoline and diesel price on July 15: New rates of gasoline and diesel were launched. Today, this Friday has brought great relief to the people of Maharashtra. The cheapest petrol in Port Blair is 84.10 rupees and diesel is 79.74 rupees a liter. Meanwhile, the price of crude oil fell to $98.61 a barrel.

On Thursday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said the Maharashtra government has decided to cut Value Added Tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 3 per liter respectively. Gasoline was sold at Rs 111.35 and Rs 97.28 per liter in Mumbai on Thursday.
