Gianvapi Mosque Survey: Expelled Officer Ajay Mishra Criticizes Lawyer Vishal Singh

Court Commissioner Ajay Mishra, who was removed from the panel that conducted the survey inside the Gyanvapi mosque complex, said he respected the orders of the district court. However, Mishra claimed that he was removed from the commission at the request of Special Counsel Plenipotentiary Vishal Singh. “I have not done anything that would compromise the confidentiality of the matter,” he said. The order of the court was passed by the oath of Chief Civil Judge Ravi Kumar Dewakar on the request of the Commissioner of the Court Vishal Singh. In his petition, the Special Commissioner alleged that Ajay Mishra had not fully cooperated and was not interested in the court-appointed commission’s proceedings.

The court then removed Ajay Mishra from the poll committee, as the photographer accompanying him allegedly leaked the poll’s proceedings to the media. While presenting the report on May 19, the Assistant Commissioner will now be accompanied by Ajay Pratap Singh, Vishal Singh.

Earlier today, the commission concluded its three-day survey of the mosque in Varanasi on Monday. The survey team requested additional time from the district court as the final report had not yet been prepared. The commission was asked to submit its report by Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has asked the Varanasi district judge to ensure the security of the district inside the mosque, as ‘Shivling’ was found in the survey. While the Supreme Court said in its decision that there will be no ban on performing Namaz.
