Indian Railways Recruitment: The railways decided to hire 1.5 thousand jobs over the next year. Not only that, the goal has been set to complete this entire process by June of next year. The railways said that in the past eight years, only 43,678 people were recruited on average each year, but this time it was decided to hire about three times as many employees within a year. This announcement of the railways came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s order, in which he ordered the appointment of 10 lakh employees by the end of 2023.

According to the Expenditure Department of the Central Government, there are a total of 40.78 lakh jobs in all the departments of the Government of India, but only 31.91 employees are assigned against them. In this way about 9 vacancies. Not only that, this number was until March 2020. In such a case, if retired employees are added, this figure is close to 10 lakhs. This number is more than 25 percent of the total posts. That is, a quarter of the total force of the central government will be mobilized within a year and a half. According to the report, 92 percent of central government employees work in railways, defense, the Ministry of the Interior, the Postal Administration and the Revenue Department alone.

Sources say that following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s order, all departments have started collecting vacancy data. After getting the details, the recruitment process will start. Within the next year and a half, the central government made the decision to enlist 10,000 at a time when concern about unemployment was growing across the country. The railway released the data and said it recruited a total of 349,422 people from 2014-2015 to 2021-22. This number was an average of 43,678 per year, but this time around 1.5 thousand people will be given jobs within a year.
