IPL 2022 Qualifiers 2 RCB Mohamed Serraj sets unwanted record for receiving most sixes in IPL season


In the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Dwayne Bravo set the unwelcome record by hitting the most sixes in a season, but now that record has been set in the name of Muhammad Siraj. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), speed bowler Siraj has set the embarrassing record of hitting the most sixes in a single IPL season. Siraj made the most sixes in IPL 2022 with 31 sixes. Apart from him, RCB partner Vanindo Hasaranga has scored 30 six in this season. Bangalore’s run in the tournament ended after losing seven wickets against Rajasthan Royals in the 2nd qualifier of IPL 2022. At Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium, Rajasthan won the bowling and bowling first, limiting Bangalore to 157 for 8 wickets, then easily hitting the target in 18.1 for losing 3 wickets.

Earlier, the record for most sixes in a single IPL season was held by Chennai Super Kings fast bowler Daphren Bravo, who had 29 sixes in the entire season playing for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2018. Yosvendra Chahal had 28 sixes in the year 2015 after bravo. Chahal scored 27 sixes in the IPL 2022 as well and has yet to make the final. Siraj conceded 31 in two runs against Rajasthan and didn’t get a single breakout.
