Kapil Dev On Virat Kohli Rohit Sharma And KL Rahul When We Need To Run, They Come Out

Former India captain Kapil Dev questioned the batting technique of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul in the T20 format. Kapil seemed very disappointed with the performance of these three in the shortest form of cricket. Kapil, who made Team India world champions for the first time under him, said the three are top players and can score quickly under pressure, but whenever the team needs to run from them, all three get out and back to the wing. In the recently concluded 2022 Indian Premier League, the form of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma added to India’s team headache, despite KL Rahul’s appearance in good shape. With the T20 World Cup taking place from October-November this year, Capel believes that hitting these three could increase the pressure on Team India.

At ABP Uncut, Kapil Dev said, “The three have a lot of names, so there is a lot of pressure on them, which shouldn’t happen. You should play brave cricket. The three are players who can score goals with a strike rate of 150 to 160. When We need to escape him, he gets out and he gets away. When they need to score goals quickly, they come out and that increases the pressure. Either you play as a striker or a broadcaster.

Referring to KL Rahul, Kapil Dev said that if you score 60 after hitting 20 full blows, you don’t do the team justice. Kapil also said that if these three do not change their batting approach, India needs to prepare more batsmen for T20 cricket. “I think the approach needs to change, and if it doesn’t, the players need to be changed,” he said. The big player is expected to have a huge impact. Nothing happens just because the name is great. You have to do well.
