Karnataka’s Amit Shah talks about Kongrid border security – India India News

Federal Home Minister Amit Shah, who has arrived in Karnataka, has targeted the opposition hard on the issue of border security. He said that only earlier the statement was released when a terrorist attack occurred, but now the situation has changed. Shah said India is now acting like the United States and Israel against those who interfere on the border. During that, he explained that the government is preparing a database to monitor terrorist hawala activities.

Shah participated in many programs in Bangalore. He criticized the old Congressional government for lax security measures. He said, “Earlier, whenever terrorist attacks were carried out by Pakistan-backed extremists, India only issued statements, but things changed after Narendra Modi became the prime minister. Earlier, only America and Israel would answer those who interfered in their borders and their army. Now India has also joined this group.

He said that after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, terrorist attacks took place in Uri (2016) and Pulwama (2019). Shah said, “We responded with surgical strikes and air strikes inside Pakistan within 10 days… Some questioned the effect of that. I tell them it has a huge impact. Now the whole world knows that no one can interfere on the Indian border, otherwise the appropriate response will be given.

In the inaugural program of the National Intelligence Network (NATGRID), Shah said the government is preparing a national database to monitor hawala transactions, terrorist financing, related activities, currency counterfeiting, narcotics, bomb threats and illegal arms smuggling, because the government has a “zero tolerance policy” against terrorism.
