Pakistan may get good news soon. It is reported that the neighboring country may be off the gray list of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). The FATF will meet in Germany from 14-17 June. The special thing is that Pakistan has been on the gray list since June 2018. Experts believe that Pakistan has suffered a loss in GDP of billions of dollars due to its placement in the gray list.

According to India’s report today, Pakistan may be removed from the FATF gray list. This could be announced at the FATF meeting in Berlin this week. The FATF team will visit Pakistan to collect information on compliance with the Terms. A formal announcement will be made by the FATF in October.

The report quoted sources as saying that out of 27 included in the 2018 Action Plan, 26 conditions have been met by Pakistan.
