PM kisan yojna money must be returned by taxpayers


On May 31, 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred the eleventh installment to the account of over Rs 10 crore from the Kisan Saman Nidhi Yojana beneficiary farmers. If you also benefit from PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, then an important update has come for you. Numerous farmers benefiting from this scheme have been issued redemption notices in Uttar Pradesh. As per the notice issued, any taxpayer i.e. the taxpayer who took advantage of Prime Minister Kisan Saman Nidhi Yojana will now have to return this money.

What was said in the issued order?

In a notice issued to a farmer in Akhandnagar district of Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, it was written, “The said farmer has been identified as an income tax payer on PM Kisan portal. Therefore ineligible. As the farmer knows he falls under the category of ineligibility and is registered knowingly In the system he is getting his benefits illegally…..So after the notice, the full amount is received under PM Kisan scheme…… to be deposited into the account.In simple words, those taxpayers who were benefiting from PM Kisan Saman Nidhi Yojana, they will now have to return the money in full.

What did the officer say about it?

Vivek Singh, Director of Agriculture in Uttar Pradesh, told Hindustan Times, “Yes, such an order has been issued. “This notice was issued to those people who were taking advantage of this scheme despite paying taxes,” says Manoj Tiwari, assistant officer of Akhandnagar block in Sultanpur district. A farmer from Akhandnagar district in the same district, to whom this notice was issued, told India on the condition of anonymity that the agriculture official had sent the notice. Let us tell you, under Prime Minister Kisan Saman Nidhi Yojana, three payments of two thousand rupees were issued to farmers in one year by the Government of India. Recently, the eleventh installment was transferred to the beneficiary farmers.
