This struggle against the British East India Company was considered a failure in history, but it also had many successes. On the one hand, this rebellion gave the country many heroes. At the same time, the British were forced to make changes to the rule. But the effect of the period of struggle that began from Meerut was seen throughout the country, but its true image appeared in certain regions.

The fires of rebellion spread from the neighboring districts of Patna to the border areas of Rajasthan. During that the main centers were Lucknow, Kanpur, Delhi, Jhansi, Kanpur, Gwalior and Bihar. The remarkable thing is that this rebellion lasted for over a year, but was suppressed by mid-1858. It is said that Lord Canning finally declared peace on July 8, 1858.

Begum Hazrat Mahal was leading the rebellion in Lucknow, the capital of Awadh. She was one of the wives of the former King of Awad. A British officer named Henry Lawrence played a large role in suppressing the rebellion in this region.

Apart from these, the names Delhi and Meerut were also included in the revolution of 1857. Another where Mangal Pandey was the main face in relation to Meerut. At the same time, the name of Bahadur Shah II was recorded in the history of the Delhi region.

The rebellion may have been called a failure, but some special things in it remained in the interest of the Indians. These include many things such as the end of company rule, the emergence of power in the hands of British rule, religious equality, administrative changes, and reorganization.
