Couple caught joking during check-in at Kochi International Airport. In fact, when the security men at the check-in counter asked him what was in his bags? This couple said there was a bomb. Upon hearing this, an uproar arose among the security personnel. This information was submitted to the police, after which they were arrested.
The 63-year-old from Kerala and his wife arrived at the airport in the early hours of Saturday. He was about to visit his daughter in Australia via Dubai. The couple had to go through several layers of screening at the airport. Meanwhile, when asked about his belongings, he sarcastically said that there was a bomb in it.
Conversation captured on CCTV camera
A Nedumbassery Police official said: “We received information from the airport that a man was talking about a bomb in his luggage. The conversation between the couple and the staff was also captured on the CCTV cameras installed at the station. It may be a joke but it is not acceptable at the airports. The conversation was also captured between spouses and employees at the station’s CCTV cameras.”
Released on bail
The police officer said the man was arrested and then released on bail. A case has been registered under Section 118b of Kerala Police Act (intentionally spreading rumors or giving a false alarm to mislead police, firefighters or other essential service).
