Article 58 of the constitution defines the qualifications for the highest office in the state. The first condition for this is that the person be an Indian citizen. The fourth condition is that he should not occupy any profitable position. If such a person is a member of the Cabinet or the President, Vice-President of the State, he shall not be deemed to hold a profitable position.
